Clinical practice
Dr Osei runs three clinic lists a week: a general cardiology list, a dedicated heart-failure list and a preventive screening clinic that takes self-referrals. All three include an echocardiogram in the same appointment wherever the diagnosis depends on one.
Her interventional work is performed at our partner cath lab, but she plans, consents and follows up every case herself. Patients do not meet a different consultant on the other side of a procedure.

Research and teaching
Dr Osei supervises two research fellows and sits on the regional cardiac network's screening working group. She publishes on uptake inequality in cardiac screening programmes — specifically why the populations at highest risk attend least.
“Every screening programme I have worked on reached the people who were already going to be fine. Fixing that is not a clinical problem. It is a scheduling and language problem.”
